About the role
We are looking for a Senior Flutter Engineer to join our team in Madrid (remote-friendly across the UE). You will work embedded with one of our publishing clients — a household name in media — building and evolving their cross-platform mobile applications. This is a hands-on role for a mobile developer who is equally comfortable in Flutter/Dart and dropping into native Swift or Kotlin when the platform demands it.
What you will do
- Develop and ship cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and Dart for a major publishing client.
- Collaborate with editorial, product, and design teams to deliver rich content and reading experiences across iOS and Android.
- Bridge into native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) code for platform-specific features — push notifications, in-app purchases, offline reading, and deep linking.
- Champion code quality through testing, code reviews, and CI/CD best practices across mobile delivery.
- Contribute to architectural decisions around state management, navigation, and modular app structure.
What we are looking for
- 5+ years of professional mobile development experience, with at least 2 years building production apps in Flutter/Dart.
- Proven ability to write and maintain native code in Swift and/or Kotlin alongside Flutter — you are not just a cross-platform developer.
- Experience shipping apps to the App Store and Google Play in a production environment with real users.
- Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX patterns, platform-specific design guidelines, and responsive layouts.
- Comfortable working in an agile, cross-functional team and communicating with non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience in media, publishing, or content-driven applications.
- Familiarity with headless CMS integrations and content delivery APIs.
- Hands-on experience with platform channels and native module bridging in Flutter.
- Knowledge of app performance profiling, crash reporting, and analytics tooling.
